Anima Eterna has to keep order somehow. Here lies the place where the people in charge can get their message out to the public. People have to stay informed about the school’s activities somehow, after all. ((OOC: This board is mandatory reading, as it will contain updates regarding major plotlines and changes to the site. It would be appreciated if all members could keep tabs on it.))

Two options stand before you: To the left is the Sorting Portal, and to the right is the Application Room, where one can apply for student officer positions, sports, clubs, and the like.

[ ]School Information
An ancient library stands in the back of the school; the hardwood floors are little dusty, and the creme-colored paint on the walls is starting to chip. But this library is different from most; it's definitly smaller, and only the four walls are lined with shelves of books. The center of the room is reserved for tables and chairs, where one may sit and read. It is here that all sorts of files are stored away, things about the school. Staff lists, student lists, house point tallies, and the like are all stored here.

[ ]The Media
News floods across the wizarding community as the world is swept up in a whirlwind of mysterious gossip. It's hard to seperate the half-truths, the lies, and what really did happen, but for those who can, key pieces to solving the mystery lie within these pages, whether in the widely-accepted Daily Prophet, or in the underground, trashy school paper. (Trust us, the staff intend to find whoever is spreading these rumors and provide appropriate punishment.) Tread carefully; you never know what you might find.

This is the twenty-first century, and even as wizards, it's time to embrace technology. It's a slow shift, but some students (and staff members) are already getting used to the art of IMing and e-mailing. Some of them stick to good ol' fashioned notes, and every once and awhile, school announcements are handed out on flyers. This is where all such things are kept, from notes passed during that boring Transfiguration class, to juicy e-mails sent during lunch.

[ ]Dungeon Corridor
This place really isn't a nice place to be, truth be told. The first thing one might notice upon descending the stairs to this dreadful corridor is that it smells awful. For those with a keen sense of smell, the nose might catch a mixture of blood, sweat, and Merlin knows what else. The darkness is truly an assault on the vision, and it takes quite a bit of time to adjust properly to it, in comparison to normal, average, every-day darkness. The wall color, as well as that of the floor, is undeterminable, partially because of the darkness, and partially because they are overcome with black decay; they are gradually rotting away. There are a few holes in the floor, so be careful not to step there. In fact, it'd be best not to stay down here too long. It really isn't safe...

[ ]Abandoned Potions Classroom
Dark, oak doors keep the world outside from seeing in - and vice versa. Precisely what the students who come here every night want. Many come for plain and simple, clandestine fun. Others come for darker motives. Others yet because they cannot fall asleep. The original cabal saw it fit to take over the abandoned classroom, rearrange the furniture, redecorate it, and make it into a sort of night club for all students who wished to socialize away from the prim and proper, without rules or limits. As you step inside you see: clusters of students chattering in dark corners, sitting on elegant chairs, their faces barely visible and seldom recognizable. Others sitting by the Light Weight Bar, where no alcoholic beverages are served but - if you so desire - you can bring your own. The smokers area is eternally curtained from easy view, though sometimes a faint whiff of cigarette is known to escape. There is no age limit, so anyone can come and enjoy the slightly spooky, Gothic atmosphere. Only two things are asked of those who chose to come here: 1) Never, EVER, reveal the exactly location, and 2) Only tell those students that will keep it safe and secret.

[ ]Silver Kitchens
Unfortunately, one must travel through the dungeons to get here, but it really is worth it. The kitchens really are amazing, if only because upon walking in, one might nearly be blinded by silver. The floor seems to be made of silver, and the walls are painted silver. There are pots and pans hanging up here and there, and (paid) house elves bustling about this underground food station. If a student is nice (or even if not), they'd love to whip up a midnight snack. Just don't get caught out of bed that late!

[ ]Chambers of Old
Most can pretty well agree that no one should be down here. In fact, many teachers will deduct house points upon seeing anyone here; it is the most wretched place in the school. A dark, damp corner in the back of the lowest level of the school, it is rather dark, but not too dark to see what's here. Chains line the wall, some of them still clinging to the wrist bones of former occupants; jaws are slightly slack, frozen in that expression of horror. To the right, one skeleton is tied to a rack, a medieval form of torture. There are various torture elements in the room, as well as a flicker of ancient blood here and there, permanently staining the room. The sight is simply horrible, as well as astonishing, considering that the Eterna were known to be peaceful...

The main hall is among the most charming places in the school, as the architects clearly wanted to make a good impression on those first entering this marvelous fortress. The chandelier lighting sheds golden beams upon the marble flooring and the cream walls. It illuminates the grand staircase, carved of the same marble, carpeted in a rich, velvety red. A small portal lies in the middle, and it will take you to the center of the school. Otherwise, there are seven floors all in all, so pick one and let the journey begin!

[ ]Hall of Pranzare
Hall of Pranzare, meaning ‘dining’ in Italian, is the place where all students and faculty members gather to share three meals a day. There are four main tables, one horizontal against the back wall, and the other three vertical. These are the staff and house tables, but there are also several smaller tables where students of different houses can mingle; after all, the houses help people to get to know others like them, but it is not intended to divide anyone. The meals here vary, and are quite original, compliments of the Kitchens staff.

The ‘classroom’ of Professor Andrew Coryn is broken up into three parts: the health classroom, the fitness room, and the gym itself. The three are all attached, the gym in the middle with the fitness room to its left and the health classroom to its right. They are placed close enough to the main doors outside, as, during the seasons, where there is nicer weather, Andrew prefers to hold his classes outside, where they have much more space, and of course, a proper sports field.

The second level corridor is easily the most winding, confusing path in the school, with plenty of tricks and dead ends. It's easy to get lost here, and if all else fails, one might be able to risk the two-story drop from one of the various windows… but that really isn’t advised. Oh, and don’t believe those rumors about students getting lost and never being found again here. There aren’t any skeletons lying about, so it can’t be true… right?

This place is truly beautiful, now that it has been spruced up a bit. [ ]Medical Emergencies
There are more portals throughout the school to Medical Emergencies than to anywhere else, and for good reason. This room, painted entirely in white, is the place to go, whether you’ve been hexed with ever-growing arms or excessive bleeding. The large room is entirely white, with several long sections, cut off by white curtains. Each little corner as its own bed, window, and nightstand for the patient’s comfort. All in all, if one has to be ill, this isn’t such a horrible place to spend a few days.

[ ]Defense Against the Dark Arts
Roughly oval shaped, the Defence Against the Dark Arts room’s desks are built around the edge of an inner circular area; rising up as they near the back like coliseum seats and giving one the somewhat uncomfortable notion that they are entering a battle arena. The floor and desks are of a smooth and earthy stone, and the walls are painted an intense shade of red above a short border of stone. In the center of the ‘arena’ there is a circular moon design of the same red painted on the stone, similar to one you would see on a dueling stage. Cutting through the center of the ring is a straight pathway from the dual doors at the entrance to the sturdy wooden desk at the other side of the room. It seems that the desk is being used for setting random objects on rather than writing. Behind the desk is a blackboard for the rare occasions in which something needs to be copied down. A couple bookshelves line the walls of the room behind the final row of desks, full of information of dangerous creatures and the dark arts. From the roof hangs a large, ring shaped chandelier spreading a warm light.

[ ]Transfiguration
Large oak doors, etched with strange symbols leads to the room for Transfiguration. While they are moderately attractive and pleasant, they are a stark contrast to what lies behind them. Black is the color that dominates this room, the walls and the hard wooden floors are even spelled to be tarnished with the dark hue. All in all it is hard to determine where the walls and floor are joined. With only a very small and insignificant border of silver coloring splattered on the dark walls, it is the only decoration that inhabits this room. The windows in here and small and scattered, and not much light is let into these rooms. At the front of the classroom, the Professors desk sits atop a platform that is raised quite a bit compared to the rest of the class. The desks are arranged in four rows of four. However it'd be wise to leave the back one bare…

[ ]Ancient Runes
The door to this classroom is easy to spot, since it has a sign that spells "Ancient Runes", written, of course, using Ancient Runes. As you enter, you will notice a stone floor and five rows of five desks, neatly ordered. The professor's desk, this time made of a light brown wood, is at the back of the classroom. It is very ordered, and the drawers are labeled. A big chalk board is behind the desk. Two big windows, each on the right and left walls, let in enough light, although there are enough torches to light up the place at night.

Upon entering this large classroom, one may notice the light, airy feel accompanied with it. The walls are almost completely covered with paintings, some of which were done by this Professor, many of them feature dragons and numerous and unknown creatures alike. The ceiling is one big mural, depicting gorgeous views that change due to the weather outside. The space on the walls that are not covered with artwork are large windows which are frequently left open, allowing an outside sense to flow into the room. The worktables are aligned in a circular motion, leaving a large space in the middle. The teacher's desk resides on a slightly raised platform.

[ ]Law
Large Winchester wood doors with an image of lady Justice carved into it makes it perfectly clear what is being taught here. The classroom itself exists out of two square rooms next to each other, without a wall dividing them. In the room closest to the entrance, tables and chairs are arranged in a typical classroom setting. A blackboard at the front for dictating, a desk for the teacher to sit at. Bookcases with books about law decorate the walls next to a window every here and there.
In the second room – the square room to the right – a whole different interior can be seen. It resembles a courtroom with space for the judge, jury, a witness stand, and every other thing you can find in a typical Muggle and magical courtroom. The chairs at the galley can turn around, so practice court trials can be paused so students can take their places at the galley and discuss in two teams, everybody being able to face the other team. In this room, too, everything is paneled with wood.

Around the school, there are various portals that will take students to the center of the school, although the exact 'center of the school' is a strange concept, and a little hard to grasp. Anyway, this is a place where students of all houses can hang out. With two windows, plenty of sunlight can get in, or students can just sit by the window and watch snow or rain fall. There is a fireplace in one corner, and airconditioning for when it's warmer. A soft, white, stain-resistant carpet lies below, making it seem like snow against the soft, blue hues of the walls. There are couches, chairs, and tables of both colors scattered throughout the room. It's, all in all, a nice place to just relax.

[ ]History of Magic
The door to this classroom can easily be missed if one does not look well enough, for it looks rather like a door to a broom closet, but once you enter inside, you’ll find yourself going down a short narrow hallway. At the end of this hallway, is a rough old brown scaled blanket, which if you pull back you will enter a circular room, that itself, looks like a mini-library. Bookcases surround you from almost every angle, raising up to the ceiling. Holding books of important history and what not, along with books that could possibly be centuries old. Infront of you is a slightly large black board, with a small staircase next to it that leads up to a platform in which the teacher’s desk sits. Where books are stacked up like crazy and you can wonder how the teacher can even work. Scattered around is random wooden tables that seats up to four students each. With even more books piled up, usually those that are needed for the days lesson.

[ ]Muggle Studies
Almost every wall is covered with either rugs woven by muggle hands and portraying different ethnic scenes, or with frames with paintings portraying some little known aspect of muggle culture to the wizarding world. The desks are for four people at a time, and the chairs are comfortable to sit on, but not comfortable enough so that the students can fall asleep. The furniture in the room is clustered in a semi-circle around the podium. They are dark wood that fit in with the warm colors of the paintings and rugs everywhere. Towards the walls, no furniture, just bookcases and shelves containing all manner of books written by muggles, or about them. In other shelves there are various objects gathered from either primitive cultures, or Professor Vandermeer's various travels through the world. Beware: touching them is an express ticket to detention!

[ ]Potions
That's right, kiddies, it's potions. The room itself is square, uninteresting, and unassuming. It's sort of... well, plain. But plain is good when you're aiming to distress people. The tile is white, the tables for making potions are white, the walls, the ceiling... white, white, white. It's a nice colour, really, makes the place look like a jail. Well, save the people-sized windows. They're not technically people-sized, but if she wanted to, Nicola Visser could very well cram your scrawny butt out that thing, and she'd damn well enjoy doing it. High up enough so you'd die falling, but animals won't bother her, that was the theory on the room's placement. It seemingly has room for six to a counter, and a blackboard up front, as well as a small, neat desk. Anybody who gets the room messed up is gonna die a slow and painful death. You hear me? You read? Slow and painful with the dying.

[ ]Art (3 sub-boards)
Leales have a hard time finding their common room, but finding the Art classroom is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. The fact is, there is actually no door, only a thin golden frame which floats a few feet off the ground. It seems that it leads outside, like everything else in the corridor; that is, until you flail yourself through, then slide into one of the classes. It seems to change each time and I suggest you go looking for it early. Corinna’s classrooms are broken into three parts: the Drawing and Sculpting Room, the Painting Room, and the Art History room. The first two are actually one whole room, split apart by a white screen. Both on the opposite side facing out, they share the same unique thing as the hallway, where there is no wall and you can see clear out unto the school grounds and the forest for drawing and painting inspiration. But all three are blank, completely white with only some plain furniture, though even then they still differ from one another in some strange way. Shaped like a half-moon (you know, half round, half entirely flat?) for some odd reason or another, the Charms classroom is far from intimidating. The round wall is made entirely of glass, giving a nice view of the school's grounds. The tiles on the floor seem ready to take on just about anything you could drop on it with their dark colour (no stains, no pains), and remains a stark contrast to the incredibly high, light-coloured ceiling. There are many comfortable armchairs set all around the room, angled towards the large oak desk in the front of the room. On the walls there are astrological charts and posters galore. At the very top of the school, Professor Monelli teaches spare classes, the kinds of things that aren't exactly curriculum, but the things people should know anyway. Getting into the room is a challenge in itself, and don't think the Headmistress did this on accident. After climbing several fights of stairs, one comes to a rope ladder. Climb up that and pull the trap door down before pulling yourself inside. Once there, it'll seem as though you're in a classroom that's floating on air. Really, now, you should've been suspicious. How could that rope ladder have taken you any higher than the highest floor? The classroom is indeed a strange one, and it would take quite some time to figure it out. But no one will have time for that. The walls are painted a deep crimson, and wooden floorboards are placed below. The crimson is supposed to stimulate aggression, anger. The real test is attempting to channel that into something productive, instead of a loose rage. There are no desks, save the small one belonging to the Headmistress, in the back corner. A small black board sits just to the right of the desk, but it seems as though it hasn't been used in ages; Monelli would be hard-pressed to even find chalk. Really, book work is rarely done in here. Book work won't teach a young witch or wizard how to dodge hexes, or how to heal someone bleeding to death before their eyes. This is a room of practical magic, and the stress is enormous. It is not a place for the weak of heart. You have been warned.

[ ]Philosophy
In the highest level of the school, where most students don’t have a reason to wander about during the day, is located the classroom of Philosophy. A nice old ornamented wooden door leads to the insides of a wide and quite comfort looking class. At first sight no one would ever guess that this is in fact a room where a class is taught. Windows that almost take over the whole space of its left side; furniture such as armchairs, couches and big comfortable looking pillows; a fire place to heath up the room on the colder days and a table, on the opposite side of the windows, providing beverages such as coffee, tea and juice or water and the occasional muffin. This along with the shelves, filled with books about the subject, covering the free space left on the walls gives more the sensation of being in someone’s private studio than anything else.

[ ]Divination
Looking more like an attic than anything else, this oval shaped room, at the top of one of the school’s towers, is overcrowded with small circular tables. The ceiling and walls are made of glass, so that the outdoors is clearly visible at all times, something that some students may find quite distracting. At the front of the classroom is a large round desk that belongs to Professor Ridgemont. This desk is cluttered with candles, crystal balls, packs of cards, dusty old feathers that look as if they’d been overused, and a large array of teacups. There is also a fireplace with a large bubbling pot over it, but most dare not ask what it’s for.

[ ]The Owlery
A dark, dark room lays in one of the highest towers of the school, layered with artifical darkness for the nocturnal owls. Fresh hay covers the floor, but watch out for a few stray... droppings, too. The rafters are lined with owls of all kinds, and feeders filled with food and water dangle from random places. It's a good place for the personal owls of students and professors, as well as school-owned owls, to rest, until someone calls upon them to make a special delivery.

Ah... the grounds of Anima Eterna. It seems as though practically every type of geographical feature exists here, from the rolling green hills to the flat land. There's a lake, a few hanging cliffs, and much more to explore; it is perhaps one of the most varied pieces of land in the country.

[ ]Magio Centro (10 sub-boards)
Walk along the smooth, grey cobblestones of Magio Centro, the center of the Italian wizarding community. It is here that you can search for that elusive golden ink for your quill, buy a broom, or just have a snowball fight... Mind you, the shop owners are likely to be very angry with you for disrupting their business...

Just past Magio Centro, there is a small community of Muggles. It is bustling with Muggle entertainment, with everything from movie theaters to department stores. Students are permitted to visit, but the consequences for revealing any magic there are heavy.

[ ]Vitana City (10 sub-boards)
A large metropolis, Vitana city is built into a small peninsula on the coast of Italy, centered somewhere between Catania and Siracuse. Known amongst wizards for its peculiarly high amounts of magical activity, and though it is a center for mystic commerce it is also very filled with muggles. A city of duality, it is divide into an upper class and a lower class section, nicknamed the Sole District and Ombra District respectfully. It’s best to tread carefully while navigating Vitana; you could meet anything from Death Eaters to werewolves.

[ ]Coast of Catania (3 sub-boards)
For the first few miles of beach, there is a small and busy muggle town, well known for its locality and shopping, beach and surf. There are quite a few streets lined with places to shop, although the whole layout of the town is set out with a distinct Italian tradition. Intricate built buildings that look wonderfully preserved, and within them, they hold modern centers for the lover of shopping. However, most people tend to walk the town square, where there are many market stalls and wondrous smells of food, giving it a distinctly Italian array.

Catania Beach seems like the perfect spot to just relax. No one seems to realize that, lurking beneath the crystalline waters, trouble is brewing. The location of a chain of underwater caves is kept a dark secret, and for those who do not know of the location, attempts to find it may prove fatal. They are situated quite aways down, and only the strongest swimmers can reach it without drowning in the process.

From beautiful valleys to terrifying volcanoes, the land of Italy is varied, and the home of Anima Eterna. While it may be position rather close to the modern land of Catania, the country spread far beyond this point. Someday the school’s journey is destined to extend beyond its own walls, and this landscape may be the first to be explored.

There are many, many places outside the world of Anima Eterna, despite the fact that the school seems like the only life for many of its students. There are real homes, for instance... It seems that, every once in while, people venture outside of the close-knit school and into the outside world. Beware.
